Passion is one of those terms that will either make you scoff because you’re a “realist” who believes that labor should be work, or it will overwhelm you because it’s much too vast and intricate to comprehend in one lifetime. Learning to discover your passion may not be as simple as it appears, but it is well worth investing time and energy.

Two questions to ask yourself when trying to find your passion.

The countless expectations placed on us by others regarding what we should accomplish with our life might muddle our ability to discern what we are passionate about ourselves. Those expectations might often cause us to lose sight of our passion in life. If you are on a path of discovering your passion, you can start by asking yourself these two questions:

1.) What kind of work am I committed to?

To put it another way, what do you have a solid attachment to? When you perform this task or think about it, do you feel confident that you want to continue doing it even on the most challenging days? For example, do you continue to work even when you’re not feeling well and there are a lot of stressful situations going on? Having the desire to show up and perform a good job, regardless of the obstacles, demonstrates commitment.
