How To Move On.
Moving on can seem daunting. But, once you have chosen to move on, where do you start. The first step is deciding to leave your past behind.
You may have a few options in the decision-making process to move on from your old relationship. You can move out, set up a new home, or find a new job. Whether you decide to do one of these or something else entirely is up to you and what makes the most sense for your situation. Right after they have left you, you might feel many emotions. You may feel empty, numb, empty-headed, without purpose, and so on. In the beginning, it is best if you do things that will help distract you from your past relationship.
You can do things that will help take your mind off them in a healthy way instead of in a destructive way. It is not necessary to go completely into a new relationship in order to move on from your old one. That is not the point here. The point is to find something else to occupy your time when they leave you so that they do not constantly occupy your thoughts and feelings anymore. When you are ready to move on from your old relationship, it may be helpful to journal. Keep a journal about the changes in your life, including what is happening with them. Take note of when they come by or call you. These notes will help if they want to talk to you in the future for whatever reason.
