Writing Is The Voice's Painting
What motivates me to write? This is a question I ask myself at least once a day. I don’t do it to gain acceptance or acknowledgment from my peers and companions. Writing is my basis for communicating my life experiences. It’s a blessing that I can talk about what I see and hear every day, whether idyllically or not. It’s also a revelation because, as we all know, there is certain stuff that can’t be explained in prose.
Writing allows me to travel between the two worlds without having to raise a finger. Adding a distinct taste and zest to ordinary and innocent incidents by stylistics and shrewd pleasantry. It’s as much a work of art as it is a necessity. It’s a skill I’d like to develop. It’s upbeat yet genuine; distant but inextricably intimate. I believe it is vital that we read and write as well; even more importantly, I believe we must remember to live in fact and honor our own and others’ lives at all times!
If you think about it, painting is difficult. If you watch a painter, they make it look so easy, but in reality, to make a good painting, it takes practice, tenacity. Painters who want to make a living will need to practice anatomically correct drawings, blending, and shading. They’ll need to use the right materials, and identify which ones are of high quality. And so much more, of which I don’t know anything about, because I’m not a painter. Painting is…
